Salt Marsh Sails – Key Facts

Overview: Sail through calm, protected creeks between Wells-Next-the-Sea, Stiffkey, Morston, Blakeney, and Cley. Explore in a mussel flat, beach punt, crab boat, or, on very high tides, the whelk boat.
Starting Points
  • Wells-Next-the-Sea: Mussel flats, crab boat, whelk boat for Wells, Warahan and Stiffkey saltmarsh
  • Blakeney Quay: Beach punt trips to Cley or Morston

Duration
  • Half day: 3–4 hours
  • Day: 8 hours, including low-water exploration (return by taxi)
  • Full day: 12 hours, returning on the evening tide

Provisions
  • Breakfast: Bacon & eggs, tea/coffee, or vegetarian option
  • Lunch/Supper: Homemade soup, fresh tomatoes, bread, chutney, local cheese, and cake
