A sail along the wild Norfolk coast and sleep out for the night on our whelk boat, tucked safely into a peaceful creek. We sail out of Wells harbour early on the morning tide, passing the beach huts then cross Wells bar heading out to the North Sea, you then have the choice of either heading east to Blakeney Point, or west to Scolt Head, or east to Brancaster. We can discuss what you would like to do during the day, so either sail at sea or explore the creeks with foraging and wild swimming. You have the choice of overnighting at Scolt Head Island, Blakeney or Thornham. We will fine tune the experience with you. Breakfast, lunch and supper is created from Norfolk’s best locally sourced food, which could include, eggs and bacon, local artisan sourdough, Norfolk cheeses, locally made pies and more.

Time:
24 hours, we sail out from Wells and back into Wells.

our 30’ lug rigged whelk boat, which can take a maximum of 6 people.

Food:
We work with local food producers to provide some of the best of Norfolk’s sustainable food. Breakfast is typically bacon and eggs with tea or locally ground coffee or a vegetarian option such as halloumi cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes and for lunch we serve a light picnic or if it is cold, soup. We also serve homemade cake which could vary from flapjack to lemon drizzle cake to chocolate cake.

Experience:
no experience is required, we are super flexible, so you can either drive the boat and handle the sails or just sit back and relax! You will just need to bring your sleeping bags and we provide hammocks, roll mats, and all other equipment required to overnight.
