Terms and Conditions

In consideration of a Coastal Exploration Company exploration (CEC), I acknowledge that:

The Coastal Exploration Company Ltd makes every effort to ensure the safety of its operations. Through the Maritime Coastguard Agency (MCA), our sea going vessels, are coded and inspected every year with a thorough maintenance plan.  Our inshore vessels, with a scheme developed with our insurance company, meet the safety standards expected of small boat operations. The insurance for all vessels, operations and clients is underwritten by Lloyds of London, with public liability of £5,000,000. All of the sea going CEC skippers hold a commercially endorsed Royal yachting Association (RYA) Coastal Yachtmasters.  Inshore skippers are trained by the CEC, according to the insurance compliancy agreement. All operations are continually reviewed for safety improvements.

Clients must still be aware that sailing and associated activities are not free of risk due to the dynamic natural environment:

  1. I am aware of and understand the potential risk and dangers associated with sailing and physical activity outdoors at sea and within the saltmarsh environment and I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the risks and dangers involved. 
  2. I understand that that exercise activities outdoors involve a risk of injury and that I am voluntarily participating in these activities with knowledge of the dangers involved. I hereby agree and expressly assume all and any risks of injury or death. 
  3. I know of no reason why I should not participate in any of the activities with the Coastal Exploration Company (CEC). I hereby declare myself free of any condition, infirmity or illness that may prevent my participation. I agree to inform the CEC and where appropriate provide written consent from my doctor should such a condition or complaint arise before continuing with any activity.
  4. I am aware I have the opportunity to ask questions about these activities and other general related issues. If I choose not to take any advice or disregard any advice given, I do so voluntarily and accept liability for all resulting injuries or damage.
  5. I am aware that CEC skippers are RYA qualified Coastal Yacht Masters and for the inshore salt marsh sailing have been through a CEC company training schedule. I attend and participate in any activities with CEC under my own risk. I hereby agree and expressly assume all and any risk of injury or death.
  6. I do hereby waive, release and discharge CEC and CEC ‘s skippers from any and all responsibility or liability for injuries or damages resulting from my participation in any activities while under CEC’s supervision.
  7. This questionnaire has been completed honestly and to the best of my knowledge and belief.
