Cley Sails

Cley

A one way sail from Wells-Next-the-Sea, east to Cley involves a sail through the creeks in the wild salt marsh and then crossing the sand banks by Blakeney Pt. We depart at the start of the tide and then sail until the waters are static at high tide, when we stop for to enjoy a hot drink and one of Norfolk’s best locally sourced meals, which could include local artisan sourdough, Norfolk cheeses, locally made soup and more.

Time:
4 hours, followed by a short walk to our Land Rover or taxi, then we drive you back to Wells, which takes about 30 mins.

Boat Options: Our 20’ open wooden lug rigged crab boat, which can take a maximum of 6 people.

Cost;
£625 including a taxi to return you to the start point.

Food:
We work with local food producers to provide some of the best of Norfolk’s sustainable food. Breakfast is typically bacon and eggs with tea or locally ground coffee or a vegetarian option such as halloumi cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes and for lunch we serve a light picnic or if it is cold, soup. We also serve homemade cake which could vary from flapjack to lemon drizzle cake to chocolate cake.

Experience:
No experience is required, we are super flexible, so you can either drive the boat and handle the sails or just sit back and relax!
