Coastal Exploration Co – Silk Scarves (North Norfolk Coast Map Design)
Inspired by WWII escape and evasion charts, the Coastal Exploration Co silk scarves are a heritage-inspired accessory designed for adventurers, sailors, and coastal explorers. Historically, these charts were issued to pilots, special forces, and prisoners of war to aid navigation behind enemy lines, made from durable, water-resistant silk capable of withstanding harsh conditions.
Each scarf features a detailed map of the North Norfolk coast, highlighting key creeks, sand banks, and historic smuggling tracks. CEC skippers use them during pre-sail briefings, offering clients a practical yet stylish reminder of the coastline’s features.
Expertly made in France by Bonhomme, every scarf has handrolled edges for a luxurious finish and lasting quality. Lightweight yet durable, they combine heritage, functionality, and maritime style, creating a timeless British sailing accessory.
These scarves reflect Coastal Exploration Co’s core values: they celebrate adventure by encouraging exploration of the North Norfolk coast, embrace slow living through mindful engagement with the natural environment, honour heritage with their historic chart inspiration and maritime tradition, and promote the environment by being crafted to last, supporting sustainable, low-impact style.
Whether for sailing, coastal walks, or everyday wear, the North Norfolk Coast map silk scarf combines function, style, and storytelling, making it a unique accessory for maritime enthusiasts and explorers alike.
