Foraging Sails

Foraging

A foraging exploration requires the whole day, so we use the morning tide to access the foraging sites under sail and then as the sea ebbs, we start to explore and forage for samphire, cockles, fish and other local delicacies. During the sailing leg we stop to enjoy a hot drink and one of Norfolk’s best locally sourced breakfasts and then after our foraging walk we have lunch, which could include some of your foraged bounty with local artisan sourdough, Norfolk cheese and much more!

Time:
8 hours, depending on tides, weather and the light.

Boat Options:
16’ open engineless mussel flat up to 4 pax.
20’ open wooden lug rigged crab boat up to 6 pax.
30’ whelk boat up to 10 pax.

Cost;
£595 for the mussel flat.
£795 for the crab boat.
£1200 for our larger whelk boat.

Food:
We work with local food producers to provide some of the best of Norfolk’s sustainable food. Breakfast is typically bacon and eggs with tea or locally ground coffee or a vegetarian option such as halloumi cheese, mushrooms and tomatoes and for lunch we would try to serve some of the foraged items, but backed up with a light picnic or if it is cold, soup.

Experience:
No experience is required.
